Sweet Grind is a female run coffee company born from years of adventure and located in North Wales. We believe coffee isn’t just a drink, it’s a ritual that grounds you, a moment of connection, a spark of creativity. From sipping on your way to work, to taking a thermos on a mountain trail, we are here to be the brand you call home while still offering something exciting and new.
Just like our history, our beans carry a story worth telling. We source from dedicated small farmers, from Brazil’s Cerrado Mineiro to Peru’s Aprocoyce cooperative. These growers work with generations of knowledge tending their land, even as unpredictable climates make their work more challenging. Many farms hold certifications such as Fairtrade, Rainforest Alliance, or Organic, showing their commitment to fair treatment of workers, sustainable farming practices, and environmental care. Their skill and resilience mean every cup of our coffee directly supports the planet, communities, and the future of coffee itself.
Sweet Grind grew out of our own journey. Traveling widely, we found coffee to be a universal language, something that could bridge cultures and build friendships even when words failed. We saw how quality, care, and diversity in the drinks and culture turned into something unforgettable. That understanding has to be the heartbeat of Sweet Grind. It started as an idea half way across the globe and it found its home here in Wales, where we could build something rooted locally but inspired by the world.
We’re here to keep coffee standards high and experiences meaningful. That’s why we offer coffee you never have to second guess, and why we also offer green beans for curious coffee lovers who want to experiment at home because learning and discovery are part of understanding. Our barista training exists for the same reason: to share knowledge, raise quality across the industry, and make every cup safe, consistent, and memorable. Sweet Grind also celebrates independent artists by weaving their work into our brand, celebrating creativity in every form and giving new voices the spotlight they deserve.
Through Plant 1 Tree, we give back to the earth that sustains us, honoring the farmers whose dedication puts food on their tables and coffee in our cups. While we have big dreams for the future, our focus remains simple: making exceptional coffee, building a supportive/ed community, and creating moments that ground and inspire.
