About the farmers
Our beans are sourced through the APROCOYCE Cooperative in northern Peru’s Amazonas region, where more than 380 smallholder farmers grow coffee across steep Andean hillsides between 1,400 and 1,800 metres above sea level.

APROCOYCE — short for Asociación de Productores Cafetaleros Coyona Central de Jaén — was founded by just 23 growers who believed in collaboration, quality, and sustainability. Today, the cooperative provides its members with training, organic certification, and access to fair markets while reinvesting in reforestation and soil preservation projects.

Each harvest, farmers hand pick ripe cherries, ferment them naturally, wash them in mountain water, and sun dry them under solar canopies before sending the green beans for Swiss Water® decaffeination (a chemical free process that uses pure water and osmosis to gently remove caffeine while preserving every note of flavour).
